As its title indicates, this work is written somewhat following the harmonic-stylistic clichés of Debussy's music, especially in the first movement. Structured in three movements Allegro-Adagio-Allegro brillante, this composition faithfully captures the personality, on the one hand light and electrifying and on the other hand warm and expressive, of such a "bipolar" instrument as the transverse flute.
