Description

These two pieces undoubtedly belong to the "Greatest Hits" among Bach's works. This issue of Alfred Loritz is characterized by the following features:

Maintaining the clear voice and role distribution of the originals.
No romanticising ingredients and superficial instrumentation effects.
Some variability in the use of certain instruments (e.g. the saxophone). Bach's artistic chorale arrangements (actually chorale preludes!) have been accompanied by full-sounding tutti lyrics; this significantly expands the combination possibilities during the performance.
