These sonatas for piano duet will, it is hoped, be a welcome addition to the domestic and educational music repertoire. Even amateurs will have little trouble with them. The sonatas were arranged in the order of the composers' dates of birth. Anyone wishing to play the sonatas in the order of their difficulty, is advised to start with Wolf and continue with Mozart, Haydn, Häßler and Bach.
