Dieses "Concerto pour Violoncelle" wurde im Jahre 1783 komponiert und erschien 1804/5 als opus 101 "après le manuscrit original" bei Joh. André in Offenbach. Das Konzert wurde eine Zeit lang fälschlich Anton Kraft zugeschrieben. Das noch vorhandene Autograph, das "die me Giuseppe Haydn" überschrieben ist, beweist eindeutig die Autorschaft Haydns.
