Description

Unfortunately, it is to learn only some about the biography of the composer Schiltz in the common technical literature. It worked in Paris approximately between 1830 to after 1850. Even its Christian name is not traditional reliably, it is given with Jean Baptist Schiltz in some sources, others make a note of H. Schiltz so. It is always only named as Schiltz on the print outputs of its works.

What Schiltz worked does not get quite clear as also. A print output makes a note: Ouverture///de// l ' Opera/Le Guitarrero///de// F. Halevy/arrangee en Harmonie Militaire/par Schiltz///de// l ' Academie Royale //de// Musique

According to this detail it worked for music in the royal academy in Paris. The AMZ of December 1840 been noted down, that for the Parisian burial celebrations a funeral march was played by Napoleon Bonapart on the way from Rouen to Neuilly:

Halevy's march should be executed by 150 -200 armed forces musicians, the instrument doers' Schiltz has had built 30 trumpets to this of a tremendous dimension which have been tried and shall produce a great effect in the conservatory of the music .

Schiltz handed numerous schools (method) for wind instruments over in the pressure, so e.g. for signal horn, trumpet, cornet, bassoon, clarinet, serpent and also horn. For these works and his just as numerous imaginations for wind instruments which Schiltz quite specifically composed for the new valve instruments of the brass players stands out. Whether he also wanted to support his manufactured instruments as an instrument smallholder by these compositions is not conceivable obviously occupiedly, however well.
