Daniel Kantor is often referred to as a classic renaissance man: author, composer, musician, graphic designer and business strategist. His entrepreneurial successes include many successful startups and product development initiatives, including Coda Music Software, publisher of Finale, the world standard in music publishing software.
After launching Finale (as Coda’s marketing director), a product that won dozens of national and international product and marketing awards, Kantor went on to eventually found KantorGroup, an award-winning strategic brand communications consultancy.
As a musician and composer, Kantor is primarily known for his popular Christmas choral work, “Night of Silence.” Since it was first published by GIA in 1984, “Night of Silence” has gone on to become the publisher’s biggest selling Christmas octavo. “Night of Silence” has been broadcast worldwide on PBS and NPR, and performed and recorded by the some of the world’s finest choral groups, orchestras, ensembles and singers.
