Clapton’s songs Layla, White Room, Sunshine of Your Love and Cocaine are classics to this day, and his cover of Bob Marley’s I Shot the Sheriff is a smash hit.
His close friendship with The Beatles guitarist George Harrison lead to the collaborative hit While My Guitar Gently Weeps. In the 90s he enjoyed worldwide success with the song Tears in Heaven and the album “Unplugged”, a live recording of an acoustic set he performed on MTV.
In addition to his many collaborations with well-known blues musicians, in 2000, Eric Clapton recorded a blues album with his old friend B.B. King.
