Sheet music by Goshi Yoshida

Goshi Yoshida began learning the mandolin at the age of 15 and has gone on to become a highly respected and recognized artist in his field.

From 1980 to 1984 he learned his instrument under the tutelage of the virtuoso mandolin player Masayuki Kawaguchi .

A move to Germany in 1984 further honed his mandolin skills, and three years later he graduated with a distinction from Wuppertal Music University.

In 1988 he passed the NHK Western Music Audition, and in 2000 released his first solo album, Italian Sentiment.

In 2006 Yoshida produced the Marionette Mandolin Orchestra, a group made up of 100 musicians performing on a variety of instruments, including the mandolin. The group experiments with new styles of mandolin music.
