Hans Peter Eisenmann was born the son of a priest.
He worked as a music and Latin teacher at the Ludwig-Wilhelm-Gymnasium in Rastatt from 1974 until his retirement in 1993.
From August 1, 1974 to December 31, 1999 he was also cantor and organist at the Evangelische Stadtkirche Rastatt. He conducted the church choir, organised organ and church concerts and designed the Heintz organ, which was consecrated in 1987. He dedicated himself to forgotten music, especially the works of the court composers Johann Caspar Ferdinand Fischer (1656-1746) and Joseph Aloys Schmittbaur (1718-1809).
