Martín Palmeri (born in Buenos Aires) is an Argentinian composer and conductor. He is a composer of vocal and instrumental works, many of which are inspired by the form and harmony of Tango Nuevo, including operas, oratorios, choral and orchestral compositions. Palmeri took over the piano part of his most famous work "Misatango - MISA A BUENOS AIRES" in Germany, Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Slovakia, Spain, Holland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Switzerland and the USA itself. This composition was performed at the Festival Europa Cantat 2009 in Utrecht, Netherlands in a studio of conductors, soloists and orchestras. Together with the Cologne Cathedral Choir and Roma Sinfonietta, Martín Palmeri will perform the "Misatango" in October 2013 in a concert in honour of Pope Francis, organised by the Fondazione Pro Musica e Arte Sacra, in Rome in the Basilica of San Ignacio de Loyola.
