Sheet music by Michał Malec

He graduated St Stanisław Kostka 21st High School in Lublin and Tadeusz Szeligowski Music School on vocal faculty in Lublin. He was a member of Boys Choir "The Lublin Nightingales" at Voivodeship Cultural Center for several years. This experience encouraged him to create his own music. He started writing music in 2008. So far he has composed choral, vocal-instrumental, chamber and orchestral music. He was taking private composition, counterpoint and orchestration lessons from Joanna Garbacz. He took part in composition workshops conducted by Dariusz Przybylski in 2012 and Philip Lawson in 2014. He also participated in International Campus for Composers in Warsaw and Radziejowice in 2013 and 2014 with different composers from Poland and Norway, such as Stanisław Krupowicz, Miłosz Bembinow, Zbigniew Kozub, Krzysztof Knittel and Helge Iberg. Michał Malec is presently studying composition under Paweł Łukaszewski at Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw.
