Sheet music by Peter Kerekes

Péter Kerekes was born in Hódmezővásárhely near Szeged, Hungary, in 1948 as a son of the composer Farkas Laszlo Kerekes. From 1964 to 1968, he attended the conservatory of Szeged and studied trombone and music pedagogy at the University of Music in Szeged from 1968 to 1970.

After finishing his studies, Péter Kerekes first performed as a guest soloist in the Greifswald orchestra, Germany. Since 1973, he played the solo trombone in the Greiz orchestra, Germany. Since 1976, he has been a substitute solo trombone player in the Gera philharmonic orchestra, Germany. From then on, he has been developing strong commitment to composition.
