Music of Hope

In April 2015, the earthquake occurred in Nepal, killed nearly 9,000 people, and injured nearly 22,000. Music of Hope was composed as a dedication to the victims of such a disaster. Various harmonies, instrumental timbre, and dissonance were used along with the lyrical melodic line spread throughout the piece. In some moments, the music became darker and more dissonant as if everything may seem hopeless, but eventually, brighter music will come, as hope come to arise.

Let there be hope for you, let there be hope for all!

Music of Hope was commissioned by Pamornpan Komolpamorn for MCGP Youth Wind Ensemble 2015.
