Days of Wine and Roses

The main theme from the movie with the same title, produced in 1962, directed by Blake Edwards and starring Jack Lemmon and Lee Remmick in the leading roles. The composer is one of the great names in music for the movies, Henry Mancini, with lyrics by Johnny Mercer. The song won a Grammy Award for best movie theme. This arrangement was made in 2006 and performed for the rst time by Suoni Wind Orchestra of Skiem, Norway at their Promenade Concert «Days of Wine and Roses». It was later recorded on their CD «Ambassador”. On both occasions it was conducted by the arranger, Øyvind Strand.
