First Music Writing Book

This writing book is intended for those who are beginning to read music in staff notation. By working through the questions and exercises under the guidance of a teacher, it is hoped that the pupil will begin to read and to write music intelligently. The budding musician is strongly urged to sing or to play the phrases and tunes found herein as musical notation means nothing if unrelated to sound.
