Quintet

Farrenc's Nonet, Op. 38 was originally written for flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn, violin, viola, cello and bass. The composer herself subsequently arranged the for string quintet. This monumental work is composed in a romantic style with prominent melodies and clear-cut forms.
