Emotionen

Kurt Gäble places feelings at the centre of his composition "Emotions". In today's human environment it is probably more important than in earlier times to maintain the balance of mind, the thinking consciousness with feelings and emotions. Only this balance makes it possible on the one hand to meet the demands of society and the world of work and on the other hand is the essential source of creativity and the strength for materially not measurable abilities. The composer traces this field of tension in his "emotions" with the means of expression of music. The individual parts of the composition flow into each other and thus allow the opposites mentioned and the necessity for their balance to emerge even more strongly.

The first and third parts of the work are determined by a powerful rhythmic basic motif pushing forward. This "pulse of life" shows itself in different forms until it finally ends in a great outburst of emotion. Framed by these pulsating elements is a calm, sometimes delicate middle section.

Gäble knows how to express feelings such as security, happiness, love and hope as enriching forces of human life with the tonal colours of the symphonic wind orchestra in fine gradations.
