The Seven Beauties

Kara Karaev: Born 1918 in Baku, Azerbaijan, died in 1982 in Moscow. He studied at the Moscow Conservatory from 1938, studied under Shostakovich, and is also known as the founder of the Azerbaijani school. The Seven Beauties is an exotic work based on a poem by the 12th-century Persian poet Nizami. Parts are available for rent.
