The Shadow Of Thy Cross

The Shadow Of Thy Cross by Paul Mealor was commissioned for the centenary of the First World War service for the commonwealth, Glasgow cathedral Monday 4th august 2014. This work is for unaccompanied SATB Choir. In the March 2015 issue of Organist's Review , Rebecca Tavener wrote that  Mealor 's music consistently "matches the fugitive emotions of a public occasion" and that this piece delivers an "aura of comfort" for all listeners.
