Schultze und Müller im Ring des Nibelungen

In 1881 Alexander Moszowski made fun of Richard Wagner’s stage festival play 'Der Ring des Nibelungen' with typical Jewish humour and in such a charming and subtle way that even the Master of Bayreuth was amused. His more than two dozen eclectic satires can still be enjoyed today. In 1911 Moszowski updated his work with reference to Siegfried Wagner’s Bayreuth. This first complete and annotated edition documents both versions. The comprehensive introduction by Heiko Jakobs also offers a portrait of Alexander Moszowski himself, one of the leading humorists in Germany at the time.
