This book of notes, written in London by the eight-year-old Mozart, reveals a unique act of writing, culminating in childlike artistic excellence even at this age. The editor very skillfully completes and orchestrates this raw particell in the spirit of the composer, offering performance suggestions that make sense of the individual movements.

These miniatures, in their childlike genius, are especially interesting for the numerous “Mozart Festivals.” Even well-adjusted youth orchestras will find what they are looking for in this selection of works.
