Dieser Marsch ist Florian Pedarnigs bekanntestes, populärstes Werk. Komponiert 1955 auf einen Text seines Bruders Josef, erfolgte die Uraufführung ein Jahr später. Die erste Aufnahme entstand 1984 unter der Leitung des Komponisten.
