aus "Polnisches Requiem"
für gemischten Chor (SSAATTBB) a cappella
Agnus Dei from the Polish Requiem for eight-part choir was written after the death of the Primate of the Polish Catolic Church Stefan Wyszynski. It is slow in tempo, supplicatory in nature and quasi-tonal. The focused, saturated harmony and enhanced continuity of musical narration create an atmosphere of prayerful commermoration. The expressive culmination follows the words peccata mundi.
