A little more about Schott Music

In the 19th century there was a focus on German composers, including most importantly the Richard Wagner Schott Music Scores. As a family business, Schott Music took an active role in supporting contemporary musicians and music, and with Paul Hindemith, they were able to broaden their family with their first composer in residence, publishing first editions of almost all his works, and many more followed, including Györgi Ligeti and Hans Werner Henze.

Scott Music’s portfolio covers an extremely broad spectrum, for those interested in all sorts of different styles and genres of music. Recently, more and more Schott Jazz Scores have been published, and the “Schott Lounge Series” has become particularly popular, for example the Schott Piano Lounge . There is also a wide range of Schott Tuition, Schools & Methods for all levels and all instruments.
