The Rhythm in Arabian Music

This book introduces the rhythmic system of oriental music step by step. It begins with very simple 2/4 and 4/4 beats and proceeds to very complex rhythms such as 11/4, 13/4, 21/4 and so on. The book includes also the largest list of Arabian and Turkish rhythms so far published. The book, with 168 pages in all, is intended for all musicians and composers interested in Oriental music. It is in English but all the terms are also given in Arabic.
