Ward Swingle, founder and member of The Swingle Singers who became famous for their scat singing of Bach works, wrote this setting of words by Tony Vincent Isaacs for the Vasari Singers and their conductor Jeremy Backhouse. It is a simple homophonic piece in four parts, with a timeless quality, conveying an important message about man’s relationship with the world.
